Raven Program
According to the First Nations of the West Coast, Raven was one who brought the light to the people. He was known for creating and sharing knowledge of certain skills to others. In our Raven program children are seen as competent, capable and having unique talents of their own to offer others. Children will be able to invent, discover, experiment, investigate, communicate appropriately, collaborate with peers, learn more about empathy and cultural differences, and learn the importance of community and diversity. Play within a natural environment is more creative and imaginative, which encourages language and improved cognitive development. Children’s play-based experiences will be child-led and adult guided as we explore the living inquiries (specific areas of learning) in the B.C. Ministry of Education’s Early Learning Framework. These include: Well-being and Belonging, Engagement with Others, Materials, and the World, Communication and Literacies, Identities, Social Responsibility, and Diversity.

Wolf Program
According to the First Nations of the West Coast, Wolves are social communicators, who learn well together and desire more in the sense of education. In our Wolf program, children are seen as competent, capable and having unique talents of their own to offer others. Socially, children will be learning how to communicate positively and appropriately in group settings, working collaboratively with peers, responding with kindness, and acknowledging unique differences and similarities in cultural diversity. Play within a natural environment is more creative and imaginative, which encourages language and improved cognitive development. Children’s play-based experiences will be child-led and adult-guided as we explore the living inquiries (specific areas of learning) in the B.C. Ministry of Education’s Early Learning Framework.
